Insurance and Patient Billing

INSURANCE/PATIENT BILLING
Oral surgery procedures are most often covered by dental insurance, however, some procedures are covered under medical insurance. If a referral is required by your medical or dental insurance, it is your responsibility to obtain the referral before you are seen by our office.  We are participating providers with several dental insurance plans.  Please contact our office to see if we participate with your plan.

Please remember that insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company.  You are ultimately responsible for payment if for some reason the insurance company does not cover your treatment costs.  We require that you pay any deductibles, co-payment and fees over your yearly maximum at the time of surgery.  Our administrative staff will be happy to work with you to determine the extent of your insurance coverage and the amount you are responsible for on or before your surgical appointment. Please understand that estimates are based upon the information your insurance company has provided us. Occasionally, your insurance company's determination is different than anticipated.

Most insurance companies will respond within two to four weeks.  Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility (we will send you a monthly statement).  Your prompt remittance is appreciated.

We will submit claims for you if you provide the necessary information regarding any insurance. If you do not have insurance coverage, payment is due in full on the day of service.

For your convenience, we accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.  We also accept cash or a personal check drawn from a local bank.  There is a $20.00 fee for a returned check.  We also offer outside financing with approved credit through CareCredit.
